A Busy Start to 2017!

Creative Hands members have been busy as the new year began!

January we hosted and helped with a special Ladies Night Out highlighting "Real Options" and the ministry they are providing for those seeking help with unplanned pregnancies, and more.  Along with our women's ministry we provided dozen of baby blankets, clothing and so much more for new parents!

February members helped in sewing hooded blankets that would be donated to Teen Challenge in March.  We made over about 20 blankets.  We have been collecting items to make fishing kits, sewing kits and first aid kits.  Members can work on those anytime we meet for Creative Hands.

March started with our Ladies Night Out hosting "Teen Challenge" when we learned about how this ministry is changing the living of teens, young people, and families through their various programs.  Ladies once again donated much needed supplies to the Teen Challenge community.  We also helped get ready for our Ladies Retreat, preparing treat bags, pins and special gifts to handout at the retreat.

Summer is also here and our church is now gearing up and preparing for our summer programs.  Teachers are getting ready for a week of surveying the galaxy!

Here is a partial of list of what teachers are requesting to prepare for their classes.  An update list will be posted soon.
Paper Towel Rolls
Star Stickers (all sizes and colors)
Solar System Stickers
Large appliance boxes (for teachers to create clubhouses)
Black plastic table covers, sheets or rolls  OR Black/Galaxy Classroom Wall Paper (can be found at Lakeshore Learning)
White Christmas lights (small bulbs)
Anything to help the teachers decorate, check out ideas at Lifeway.

We will also be working on items for the Operation Christmas Child Shoe boxes.  More information will be added in a few weeks.
