Our ministry begins another year! Creative Hands began in 2008 as "Purls of Grace" as a group that met monthly to knit or crochet. What started out as simple group to knit and crochet prayer shawls has grown into a ministry that now includes card making, putting together sewing & fishing kits, making beautiful fleece blankets, and so much more. We renamed our group so that anyone could feel welcome to join us and help us create beautiful items to donate to those who need a smile or a bit of comfort.
We will kick off our year next month on August 9th at 6:00 pm, then help to host our Ladies Night Out on August 11th. Check out our missions blog here for more details.
What do we do at our meetings? The "What We Do?" and "How We Minister to Others" pages will give explain a bit more about our ministry. Currently we are working on sewing, fishing and first aid kits, and other items for Operation Christmas Child Shoe boxes. We recently finished about 20 lap blankets that we are donating to the Corinthian House here in our area. In addition, our ladies also work on baby and children's blankets that will be donated to several area ministries. If we don't have a specific project, some ladies will bring their own projects and work on them. Come get ideas, learn a new skill or just to spend a little time getting to know a great group of ladies who love serving the Lord with their talents.
We start at 6:00 pm and ladies are welcome to come anytime and stay for as little or as long they like. You can even bring your dinner! Questions? Leave a comment, check out our church blog, or give the church a call. Looking forward to another year of blessings from our Creative Hands ladies.
